Being aware of one's own metacognition and flexibility are some of the important qualities needed in a VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous) world. Therefore, it is important as educators to equip pupils with thinking processes and tools that can be applied to 21st century environment.

The main objective of this learning journey is to identify best practises, research based strategies and sound approaches in curriculum innovation and apply ideas gained within Rivervale's context.

The theme of ICHOM (International Conference on Habits of Mind) is "Challenging the Future with 21st Century Skills".
